Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. We recommend booking ahead to secure your preferred time and experience. 

What if I’m running late? 

Arriving late will reduce your experience time. Full charges will still apply.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms will be provided at the time of booking and may vary depending on the experience reserved.

Is parking available? 

On-street parking is available around Merrion Square and on Fenian Street.

What public transport is nearby?

BASK is easy to reach by public transport. Pearse Station (train and DART) is just a 2-minute walk away, with several Dublin Bus routes operating close by. Taxis are readily available, and a Dublin Bikes station at Merrion Square West is only a short walk from BASK. The LUAS Green and Red Lines are also within walking distance for convenient access.

Who can visit BASK?

Currently, BASK is exclusively available to guests staying at the Davenport and participating O’Callaghan Collection hotels.

Can non-residents book BASK?

At present, access to BASK is reserved exclusively for resident guests of the Davenport and participating O’Callaghan Collection hotels.

What are the opening hours?

Guests can enjoy BASK from 7am to 7pm each day.

What time should I arrive for my booking?

To help you settle in and make the most of your visit, we recommend arriving in good time before your scheduled booking to allow for check-in and changing. Late arrival may shorten the duration of your experience.

Is access to BASK included in my hotel stay?

Access to BASK may be added to your reservation for a fee or included as part of selected hotel packages. Please refer to your booking confirmation or contact the hotel directly for details. Preferential resident rates may apply.

What facilities are available at BASK?

Guests can enjoy a carefully curated thermal journey including sauna experiences, steam facilities, hydrotherapy experiences, cold therapy and dedicated relaxation areas.

How long should I allow for my visit?

One-hour and two-hour BASK experiences are available to book.

Is there a recommended thermal journey?

Yes. While there is no set route, our team will be happy to guide you through a recommended sequence of heat, cold, and relaxation experiences to help you make the most of your visit. Of course, you are also welcome to explore BASK and enjoy the facilities in the order that feels most comfortable to you.

Does BASK offer spa treatments?

No. BASK is a thermal spa experience focused on the restorative benefits of heat, cold, and relaxation. We do not offer spa treatments or therapies, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the thermal journey and wellness facilities.

Are the thermal spa facilities supervised?

BASK Thermal Spa is an unsupervised facility and is not lifeguarded, so we ask all guests to use the facilities with care and to follow all posted guidance throughout their visit.

Can I use BASK if I have consumed alcohol or taken drugs?

For the safety and wellbeing of all guests, BASK may not be used while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that could affect your judgement or ability.

Can I use my phone or tablet in BASK?

Yes, but mobile phone and tablet use should be kept discreet and respectful of the tranquillity of the space and the privacy of other guests.

What spa etiquette should I follow during my visit?

To preserve the calm and restorative atmosphere of BASK, we ask guests to respect the privacy and comfort of others and to follow all posted guidance for the sauna, steam room and pools throughout their visit.

Is BASK responsible for personal belongings?

Guests are welcome to use the lockers provided for their convenience. Personal belongings remain the responsibility of each guest and BASK Thermal Spa cannot accept responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal items.

Is BASK suitable for children?

No. BASK is an adult-only wellness environment thoughtfully designed for relaxation and tranquillity.

What is the minimum age requirement?

Guests must be 18 years of age or older to access BASK Thermal Spa.

Are there any facilities I should avoid if I have health concerns?

Heat, cold, steam and hydrotherapy experiences can affect each guest differently. If you have any health concerns, we recommend seeking medical advice before using the thermal facilities.

What are the pool depths at Bask?

The main pool depth is 1.35 metres throughout, the vitality pool is 0.9 metres throughout, and the plunge pool is 1.5 metres throughout.

Before You Visit

What should I bring? 

Swimwear is required. Towels, robes and flip-flops are provided for all guests.

Is there a dress code?

Appropriate swimwear is required in all thermal and hydrotherapy areas. Robes and footwear should be worn between zones.

How long should I plan for the experience?

We offer both 1-hour and 2-hour thermal experiences. One hour delivers a refreshing lift; two hours lets you settle in and experience the full tranquility of BASK. We would also recommend you compliment your visit with some After BASK refreshments at The 1863 Lounge. Book here.

Health, Safety & Accessibility

Is there a minimum age?

Guests must be 18 or over to access BASK. 

 Is the thermal experience suitable during pregnancy?

Certain thermal facilities may not be suitable during pregnancy. For your comfort and wellbeing, we recommend consulting your doctor or healthcare professional before using Bask Thermal Spa.

Is the spa accessible?

Yes, BASK is accessible and is serviced with a lift and designated changing facilities. Please contact us in advance to discuss access to facilities.

Can I use Bask if I have a medical condition?

If you have any medical condition or health concern, we kindly ask that you consult your doctor or physician before using Bask Thermal Spa. This includes, but is not limited to, heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, respiratory issues, epilepsy or seizures, skin infections, or open wounds.

During Your Visit

Can I use my phone or tablet?

To ensure BASK remains a calm and immersive space, all devices must be on silent. Photography is not permitted in any area of BASK including the changing facilities in the interest of privacy of all guests.

Are there food or drinks available? 

We provide infused hydration to keep you feeling refreshed during your visit. Alcohol is not permitted before or during your BASK experience.

Can I leave and come back? 

Re-entry is not permitted without notifying one of our BASK associates, however, this will not extend your booked time.

Treatments & Facilities

What facilities are available? 

Our thermal journey features a Himalayan Salt Sauna, Steam Cabin, Serenity Pool, Vitality Pool, Cold Plunge and a calming Relaxation Lounge. A full After BASK refreshment experience is also available at The 1863 Lounge at The Davenport to really fulfil your visit.
